Gaming is for fun, not for income.

That line appears in Drem’s own lobby, and it is the right place to start. Fantasy contests, casino games, rummy and sports betting are entertainment that costs money. Some sessions win; over time, the games are built so that most players pay for the entertainment. Playing responsibly means deciding in advance what that entertainment is worth to you.

Before you play

  • Set a budget. Decide how much you can afford to lose this week and deposit only that. Never play with rent, fees, loan or household money.
  • Set a time limit. Fast games make time disappear. Use your phone’s timer.
  • Know the game. Read the rules and try a free or coin version first where one exists.
  • Check the law where you live. Rules on real-money gaming differ between Indian states and change over time.

While you play

  • Do not chase losses. Raising stakes to win back money is the most common way a bad session becomes a serious one.
  • Take breaks. Step away after a big win as well as after a loss.
  • Do not play when upset, tired or drinking. Decisions get worse and limits get ignored.
  • Treat bonuses, races and VIP levels as extras. They are not a reason to play more than you planned.

Warning signs

It may be time to stop and talk to someone if you:

  • spend more money or time than you intended, again and again;
  • borrow money, or sell things, to keep playing;
  • hide how much you play from family or friends;
  • feel anxious, irritable or low when you cannot play;
  • play to escape problems rather than for enjoyment.

Under 18

Real-money gaming is strictly for adults. If you are under 18 you must not register or play. Parents should keep phones locked, avoid saving payment details on shared devices and watch for unfamiliar apps.

Getting help

  • Talk to someone you trust. Saying it out loud is often the hardest and most useful step.
  • Tele-MANAS, the Government of India’s free mental-health helpline, is available on 14416, round the clock and in many languages.
  • Contact Drem support through the app to ask about limiting or closing your account.
  • Remove the temptation. Uninstall the app and delete saved payment methods while you take a break.

There is no shame in stopping. A game should leave you with a story, not a debt.
